The Institute of Medicine (IOM) Food and Nutrition Board and the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition (PCFSN)will host a webinar on September 26, 2013.

Information: “In May 2013, the IOM released the report Educating the Student Body: Taking Physical Activity and Physical Education to School, which offered recommendations, strategies, and action steps that individually have potential to increase children’s opportunities to engage in health-promoting physical activity. The report made recommendations regarding approaches for strengthening and improving programs and policies for physical activity and physical education in the school environment, including before, during, and after school. This webinar will provide teachers, educators, parents, school administrators and school-based organizations with information on the findings and recommendations of the IOM report.
