Exploring Human Potential

7&7: Faith Filled vs. Cynical

REFLECTION:

Fidelity, commitment to a worthy purpose. Given little else, this is enough for happiness. Keeping the faith. Fighting the fight. Taking a risk to benefit someone other than yourself, with God on your side, at your side. Faith is to believe in an attainable future, to believe in yourself, and to believe in a connection between the two. A single spirit can ignite a brilliant flame, and light the way toward change. That extra light’s a help because, with each step, certainty can never be assured. Risk is always there even for the explorer. Faith is an inner strength, exposed by trial. It is invincible but absent in those consumed by fear. Fear and doubt are a powerless couple, and prophesize their own defeat, rushing headlong to their own doom. Faith takes time, gives time, and is of positive assistance to those who will try. Faith is flow, the ability to be drawn along by the current without need to resist or control one’s every movement or destiny, without need to quarrel with the world.
