Phoenix House Announces Rebranding Effort: New Logo and Web Site

The new Phoenix House logo and tagline marks the organization’s first major branding renewal since its inception in 1967. Revitalization includes restating the institutional mission in today’s terms, embracing the spirit of the organization’s 43-year commitment to leading individuals, families, and communities affected by addiction from disrupted to productive lives.

“We at Phoenix House provide the tools and information people need to accept, treat, and manage the chronic disease of addiction,” Mr. Meitiner says, “but it is hope that drives them along the way. Hope gives them the strength and courage to take the steps they must to achieve and sustain recovery.” He explains, “It is essential that our brand identity communicates this sense of hope – and, from the initial responses we’ve received, the new Phoenix House logo and tagline are right on the mark.”

According to John Bell, a former client in recovery, “The ‘Wings of Hope’ represent what is sometimes lost in the seriousness of the recovery process. That’s the belief that the future can be bright, that recovery should be fun, and that there should be no limits to our hopes and dreams.”

As part of the brand revitalization effort, the Phoenix House website (www.phoenixhouse.org) has been redesigned to reach out broadly to the public and to better inform and engage the entire Phoenix House community – program participants, family members, alumni, and others in recovery, as well as partners in government and the behavioral healthcare field.

Features of the new PhoenixHouse.org include:

  • Risk Assessment: This interactive tool helps viewers assess the need for treatment.
  • Rising Above Addiction: The Phoenix House blog features substance abuse experts, clients, alumni, and staff and is adding guest bloggers – including industry leaders and Phoenix House’s celebrity supporters – to share their views on key addiction and recovery topics. Readers communicate with contributors and with each other through the comments section.
  • Social Media: Phoenix House has increased its presence on social media platforms, includingFacebookTwitter, and YouTube. The redesigned website features a social media dashboard.
  • Expanded Resources: The site offers easily accessible links to a range of helpful information about drugs, addiction, treatment, and intervention.
  • Phoenix House Stories, News, Events, and Photos: Visitors can learn more about Phoenix House through the faces and voices of its community. There is a gallery of photos from recent events and compelling stories from program participants and alumni.
